I cam across the site banthephonebook.org and i honestly think that banning the phone book isn't a bad idea. Many people are taking their names out of the phone book for privacy and in today's world we have everyone we want to call saved in our cellphones. For anyone who likes the idea of a phone book, this petition doesn't disregard you. The idea is that anyone who wants one requests to get it, but those of us who can live without it don't. Saving trees sounds like a good idea to me!   |

We don't need it at all. You can easily find most people's number, even those who've asked for it to be taken out, on yellowpages.com, unless they requested their number being taken off of the website, too. I even found a famous person in a band I like on there, but I don't know if the number was real or not.

We've never been included in the Yellow Pages because we don't like the idea of anyone being able to see our phone number, and we've managed fine! Plus I haven't used it to find anyone elses number for ages now. I think it's fine if people really want to have one and can request one, but for the people who don't ever use them they're very wasteful.
