I KNOW animals suffer to make leather or fur, but be honest with yourself. Take away the bias. You have to admit that fur and leather looks nice. And oh my fucking god. D: quentin veron's fall/winter2010 stuff is amazing. D: I was really biased, myself, when I first saw it, but then I realised how much I liked it (minus the AR issues, obviously). It's so strange and dream-like and dark and romantic and the show had models ballet dancing. one thing that was sort of like , is "Veron, who considers himself an animal lover, refuses to work with any rare breeds" animal lover. yeah right. why can't he just work with faux. D: check them outtttt: www.quentinveron.com/index.php?/fall---winter-0910/but doesn't this just break your heart?

i've never liked the look of fur clothing, real or faux, unless it just serves as the trim of a coat or something like that. that image you posted is even more repulsive than it is heartbreaking, i swear, the things i would do to these people if it wouldn't end up in me getting a lethal injection in prison.. swjkfskf
the clothing on the link you posted.. all looked really ugly to me, pelts of dead animals or not.
i do however admit that i like the look of leather... but pleather is so much nicer.

I don't see why we need to wear another animal's fur in the twenty-first century, with or without alternatives. Even if it does look good, we don't need it. I think the animals' lives who went into the fur/leather/whatever are much more important than some fashion crap.

"the clothing on the link you posted.. all looked really ugly to me, pelts of dead animals or not." ahah maybe quentin was a pretty bad example, too avant-garde maybe? Well you could always look at stuff by more mainstream designers. And angela I totally agree, that's why I would never buy or wear his stuff. but I wasn't talking about that. I was just wondering if I was the only one who finds fur/leather nice looking even though I am completely against it. As in, I understand why some people still wear fur So yeah, am I the only one?

I think fur looks nice, on the original owner. Leather, is just disgusting feeling and looking. Period. Even if I didn't know where it came from, it still looks nasty. The only exception I give to fur-wearing humans is the Arctic tribes who kill for meat and fur and use everything they kill. They are respectful and make it themselves instead of supporting the cruel fur industry.

i find mainstream fashion gross in general, regardless if it has fur or not.. IMO fur looks beautiful on the animal it belonged to, and hideous on the despicable people who wear it..
