I'm trying to come up with creative ways to use my arts and crafts (i do a lot when i'm bored)..to help animals. Mainly I make braclets and crochet, although I can make pins (like breast cancer ribbons).
Besides selling, do you have have any ideas to use my end products to help animals? Or any craft ideas of your own?

I make homemade dog treats (you can find easy recipes online) and I donate them to the no kill animal shelter in my town. I also make blankets and other things for the kennels.

You can make home-made beds like these if you can get a pattern from somewhere to make them. Maybe you can find something like that at a fabrics store like JoAnn Fabrics or something. I'll try to think of another idea.

^^ Those are amazingly cute
I found on a peta2 board someone who had used the(cute) peta stickers and made some amazing rings.
I wish I liked dogs enough or had the ingredients to make dog treats.
hmm... That's really all I can think of, sorry DX

Maybe I'll start doing something like that, but I have to think of something to do and find out what the shelters around me accept.

I would like to do that too, but I'm much to busy with school(Junior in high school here) and in this summer, I'll be working at the girl scout camp in town. Plus I'd have to see if the shelters accept. I think that's what I'll work on on Christmas break. I think I'll find out if the shelters will take them and during long holidays I work on a few, god knows I have enough scrape material around my house to make plenty of those

Hey, great ideas, guys(=
I can bake, but I can't sew to save my life. I volunteer ar the humane society so I think I will bake some dog treats and take in every once in a while.

Yeah, if I tried to make one by hand I'd never finish it and the dogs would rip it to pieces. This will be a good excuse to learn to use the sewing machine. Next year when I'm a senior hopefully they'll do this again, you get put in a drawing to win a car. But to get in the drawing you have to meet some requirements and one is at least 4 hours community service. I'll think I'll get my hours at the humane society
