Could also be in fear to control the younger kids so they don't become gay and it becomes more of a negative image.
An example: Think of a bunch of kids, middle schoolers, and the group of kids all ways play tag. One of the kids, Bob, suggests to play freeze tag. The leader of the group tells Bob his idea is stupid and laughs at him. The rest of the kids most likely join in the taunting or turn a blind eye. Do you think that kid is going to suggest to play freeze tag again?
It is sad, but, humanity will continue to mature, that part in humanity I haven't lost faith in yet.

I'm agnostic, and thats extrememly offensive to me. Do you know if girl scouts has the same policy? My mom is a leader for my sisters troop.

so they're calling gays dirty and anyone who doesn't believe in the christian god a bad citizen.. fantastic, they get a head start in encouraging hatred and discrimination from boys in young ages.

So what, do they just go, you're gay. Leave. How do they know if someone is gay or not? WTF?

^I guess if the boy admits that he's gay, they'll find out. I don't know how many of the Boy Scout leaders actually care, though, or how many actually find out.

Yah... And who would admit it, honestly. My bro doesn't at school. Only me, and his really close friends know. Oh, my bro is gay. It was on that other thread that I said that.. Sorry.

No need to be sorry.
There is a much bigger chance at admitting that they are atheist or agnostic. It's not something that people feel a big need to hide, at least compared to being homosexual, anyway. It can even just slip out.

Exactly. Well... That's still really stupid. Gay people can be awesome role models. Again, my brother is.... Minus his many peircings =P But yah, anyone can be a good role model if they're given the chance.

I completely agree with you. I'm so sick of people being prejudice against gays.
