Guinea Pig Care Links: www.guinealynx.infowww.guineapigcages.comwww.cavyspirit.comwww.guineapigs.infoThere are tons of information you must know to care for a guinea pig, which is why I am not going to write an entire, huge essay on what you have to do and what you can't do. Basics: Cage: Must be very roomy. I recommend C&C cages. Food: -Pellets (Oxbow is recommended) -Hay (Again, Oxbow recommended if bought from their website and not from Petsmart; Petsmart's is never nearly as soft as buying it direction from the site. Petsmart is an animal inferno, anyways.) -Fresh veggies that contain a huge amount of Vitamin C, like bell peppers. Nutrition chartsSafe beddings to use: -Kiln-dried pine -Paper product, like Carefresh -Aspen -Fleece NEVER use cedar! Misc.: -Be sure to know a pig-friendly vet in advance. -There are many homeless guinea pigs out there who need all the love they could get. Search adoptables here.Again, the links at the top are way more thorough than my post was. Please read and reread them. I also recommend joining their forums if you do care for a guinea pig.
