My name is Monique. I love my meat, but ever since I learned about how cruel companies are to the animals they kill for food, Vegetarian for a couple months. I have a lot of pets, and always have. So it's safe to say I'm an animal lover, and have been for my entire life. Right now we have 9 fish (2 Blue Gouramis - The Sherrif and the Deputy, 3 Rosy Barbs - Poseida, Richard, and Neptune, 3 Neon Tetras - Alpha/Beta/Omega, and my beta Cobalt), a pit bull named Ruthie (one negative word about pits and I'll eat you), and my baby, Damien. I'm a rabid roleplayer. I'm very odd, so beware. Twilight sucks, I read actual books. So... Yeah. That's about it. Pics of my pets below (except the fish, I'm not THAT good. XD). Ruthie. Behold the terrifying pit bull. XD My sister's dog Lucie. The Jackaranian Terror. XD But seriously, who in their right mind breeds a pomeranian and a jack russel? She's INSANE. Damien. This was during out trip to the beach. He's such a sweetie. :3 Hehe, he's trying to hide. ^-^ Camping again. He loves to hide in clothing. So cute. See? I told you didn't I? Such a cutie. :3 (If you can't tell, this turtle is like my son. ^-^) Okay, if you got through all of that... Then here! Have a cookie. -gives cookie- Have a nice day. Edit; Silly typo.

Pit bulls and German Shepherds are my FAVORITE breeds of dogs so I just say Ruthie is ADORABLE!
I also have to say I am in love with Nala! I LOVE turtles! I used to have a yellow spotted turtle (lame name but oh well) named Indraski. She was my life. They're such fascinating and beautiful creatures =)

Shepherds are one of my favorites too.
And Indraski is a good name. Cute turtle too. ^^ Damien's (formerly Nala, but apparently she's a he. oops. XD ) pretty much my life too. He's probably the reason I bothered to drag myself out of bed every day after Bitty died. He's my baby. <3

Who was Bitty? I knowhow you feel. I had a rabbit named Buggsy (he's been gone about a year and a half now) and when he died, depression hit me, hard. If it weren't for my rat, Bhu, I probably would have stayed in bed till I died. Buggsy was, and still is, the most important being that ever existed to me. =)
(RIP Buggsy and Bitty!)

I've lost quite a few pets, and it was really hard for me. I'd cry all by myself while others weren't around, just so they'd leave me alone. I hate when people bother me when I'm upset. It took me a long while to get over it.

Bitty was my cat, and literally my best friend. PicHer death hit me harder than anybody else's, and that includes grandparents. I don't know what I'd do if she wasn't haunting me. XD And I'm sorry about Bugsy. We had to put Bitty down about a year and a half ago too, so we're on the same page there. And losing pets is hard. They're the only living beings that will always love you unconditionally. They're always there, and then suddenly they aren't. It's not like a grandparent or anything, it's worse. You never really get used to it...

I lost a lot too. In a period of two months (a year and a half ago) I lost Buggsy, Sammy, Snuggles, Taran, and Ferdinand. It was tough because when I lost Buggsy, Snuggles and Ferdinand were the ones who would give me comfort and then suddenly, my main sources of sanity were gone. Luckly I still had Bhu at that time, and my now deceased hamster Bhupen as well.
I am with y'all on the saddness. I've never cried over a human dying, with the exception of Stephen Robert Irwin (RIP), but I have cried for every one of my animals that has perished. It's just so much more difficult to get attached to humans, for the very reason that they can't be trusted while any other species of animal can.

Same.
And pretty much the same thing happened to me. I've always been close to Bitty, but when we put our dog April down, I got closer. Then Bitty died, so I got closer to her mother, Camille. Then Camille died.
I've never cried for a human, it's my animals that I love...
