Interesting article, though not completely factual and it implies incorrect information. Maybe bird populations are in fact down, but that's our fault. We should spend less time complaining about the stray cats of America, and do something about it. I am drawing a blank on the name, but there are several spay/neuter travel clinics that are quick and humane. That would greatly decrease the stray cat population over the years. Also, hasn't anyone ever heard of vegan pet food??? If our government and journalists are that ignorant of vegetarianism, maybe we should just send everyone back through school, but then again, what would that teach them about veg? I think I may be moving off the topic now... All in all, that article is a piece of BS. :-P

I disliked that.
It's a bummer that cats are having a negative impact of the environment. (I will agree somewhat with that. At the very least, they aren't helping.) But instead of getting rid of our cats, we should find a way to fix the problem.
I know that I'm only really happy when I'm with a cat. And when I move out, I'll be getting one, because I'll always remember my cats and the joy they brought me. The problem isn't the cats, it's the way we take care of them that needs to change.
