I think I have come to the conclusion that people in the USA are afraid to protest. Yes, you get it sometimes, but compared to European countries, it's nothing. You always see people in Europe (recently Thailand) protesting for what they believe is right. Of course, I don't want things to be violent like they sometimes are across the pond (cough Thailand cough), but where are we getting at by not doing anything? I think Americans are afraid, and that fear needs to be gone. Has anyone else noticed this? Do you have any thoughts as to why?

I have to agree with you. I organized a protest last year and 10 of the 15 people that signed up to help backed out. I think people are afraid of "getting into trouble". I miss being able to do protests, but I just can't do them by myself anymore.

I think I've only seen one protest around here in my entire life, and that was years ago.

XtremeVegGirl- You are totally right. People are afraid of "the man." AA-Ditto. It was at a circus when I was four. I was proud of them, so even then I had my AR awareness.

I don't even know of anyone I could think of at the moment who'd want to protest. It seems like everyone is so concerned about their own little lives. Maybe that's just my small-town community, though.
