I voted I don't, but let me explain a little. I work for animals in particular, but in all honesty, I am truely fighting for equality for EVERYONE. I fight to end specism, racisim, sexism, prejudicism, ect. I believe everything that feels pain is equal to all the others. However, I focus most of my energy on the specism so, in a sence, I don't really work much for humans.

I don't. I really, really, really hate people.
Plus, animals have a harder time making their voices heard. If humans are abusing other humans, that's understandable to me. Or more acceptable. Humans can make their pain and dicsomfort known, and can do something about it most of the time. For animals, it's a lot harder.
Also, humans do things to piss eachother off, and all that stuff, but animals are always 100% innocent.
So humans can feel free to mistreat eachother, I'll focus my attention on the animals.

Wow, someone who has almost the exact same thought pattern as me What you just stated, Emily, is my main reason for channeling my concerns for animals. Hey, I'm the girl who no one in the school messes with because if they kill and ant, I punch their face in. Why to that extreme? Because a human is insignificant to me and that ant is my master. hehe. Thumbs up to you, Emily!
(Not that I disapprove of anyone here who also supports human rights. As long as they have it set in their mind that animals do, in fact, need the help far more then some human.)

Whoo! -high fives-
And animals really are better to help. They love unconditionally, and don't do things for spite or gain. They just want to be happy, safe, and want to love you. That motivates their actions. Humans are greedy, spiteful, mean, evil, rude, do things for money or power... ...Fuck that. I can watch the murder shows on A&E and laugh, because that's one less idiot. Someone picking on something that can fight back.
But Animal Precienct and stuff like that is the depressing stuff. The things people do to animals... They're the ones that need help.

So true. It is my love to for animals (and my love for punishing those cruel to them) that has caused me to work effortlessly in hopes to pursue a career as an ASPCA Humane Law Enforcer, or a Humane Law Enforcer for any other animal organization. Very few human beings have my fullblown respect, but you, my friend, have just successfully gathered it.

Awesome. Same here. I really just hate people, but so far everyone here has been okay. Probably because vegetarians/vegans have that whole "love the animals, they're friends, be nice to them" thing going on.
And I wanted to be in the humane law enforcement thing, but it's just too sad. It would make my life worthwhile if I would help animals like that, but I don't have the heart for it. I'd be sobbing every day on the job. (Plus I was yelling at the T.V. once while watching that show. "Knock him over and kick him in the head until it falls off! -evil laugh-" That'd probably land me in jail. Don't give me a gun around those people. XD)
But I think that a veteranarian would be a good career choice for me, so that I could still help them and not be so depressed/enraged every day. XD

Again, I am with you on that, Emily. I take special care trying to control my temper so as to be able to get the job...but it's so difficult. All my friends and family don't believe I would be able to handle such a career without getting thrown in jail. Give me a gun and I'll shoot down the first lowlife who I see swat at a mouse. Not to mention I have been known to get sick when I am simply watching Animal Cops, so that would be another of my drawbacks. However, in hopes to lessen the anger factor, I have been keeping it at the forfront of my mind that it'd be merciful to simply kill the lowlife; they'd be far better punished in jail. Hopefully I can keep that in my mind.
In responce to your choice at being a vet, I used to long for that. I have one MAJOR drawback though in that sector; I thrive on false hope. So many animals in my care would go through unneeded suffering, just to die anyway a few days later, because I have the mindset that states that they'll pull through. My heart wouldn't be able to handle that, but I can't seem to change that BIG flaw of mine.
And in comment to that first part of your post, I FULLY agree. It's nice to be able to chat so easily with a group of people. Finding this board has been one of the best things that has happened to me (that's computer related, anyway).
And thumbs up to you, Avery! It seems there are more 'radicals' (as so many people would dub us) than I once thought!
